Pantech Jest is available online at www.verizonwireless.com today for free through a special online promotion. Pantech Jest will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning July 5 for $70 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

It’s probably the best phone that you can get at Verizon without a data plan. That’s probably not saying much though…
Pros: It looks good – nothing like the blackberry. It has 1GB internal memory and also a microSD slot. The speakers are fairly loud. Sound quality respectable. Phone is small and compact.
Cons: It doesn’t come with arrow keys – you need to swipe the OK button to move up and down and from side to side and this is annoying. The keys are a bit tiny for texting. Battery life is fairly short.
Overall, I’m happy with this phone for now. I hope the touchpad doesn’t break or else I’m going to be very angry.
